I loved so many things about my home. The natural light pours through the skylights and windows. On the couch with friends as the sunset fills the living room. As it grows dark, getting mesmerized by the backlit skylights. The luxurious treehouse feels, surrounded by magnificent redwood and avocado trees. The quiet on a Sunday morning.
Beautiful Douglas fir floors, coved ceilings, and wainscotting giving a sense of the bygone Edwardian era. The breezy, open floor plan. Hosting friends over for dinner parties and drinks. Climbing the ship's ladder and watching the city skyline sunset from the roof deck (my realtor would want me to warn you that this is unsafe!!). Watching Netflix on the massive pull-down screen.
Doing computer work in the finished storage area with the french door windows open to the flagstone patio and the garden. Having BBQs in the backyard on a warm October afternoon. Living on a quiet, dead-end street with little traffic. Rolling out of bed and going for a morning swim in the pool across the street.
Meeting friends for tennis in the park. The Food: A warm loaf of bread from Tartine. Souvla. Pakwan. Udupi Palace. Boogaloo. Esperanto. Lolo. Bi-Rite Creamery. Dolores Park Cafe.
Events, live music, and people-watching in Dolores Park. Having a Bi-Rite Market picnic in Dolores Park on a sunny afternoon. Cafes, food, shopping, and bars/clubs/entertainment on Valencia. Hopping on BART to beat the traffic to meet a friend in the East Bay. Feeling like I’m living in the center of the best neighborhood on the planet but within the quiet oasis of a top-floor condo on a dead-end street.
